Volume numbers are clearly marked on the graphic novels.

The Japanese series has 38 volumes, the English series may have more or less when complete.

A less expensive smaller format '2nd edition' is coming out and will replace the first 21 volumes, volume 22 - are in the smaller format. As the smaller format volumes are announced I will add them here. As the Right Stuf drops older format volumes from their site I will remove the 'Order' links for those volumes..

 

Note: I have verified that the 1st and 2nd editions of the Ranma 1/2 manga both have the same pagination. This means that a volume and page reference in The Anime Companion will match both editions.
