Anime Web Turnpike
A topical guide to Internet resources on anime, and manga. This is a good place to begin looking for information, especially useful are links to the web pages of companies, pages put up by anime clubs, devoted to specific series, and many online reference tools or databases.

Right Stuf International:
Perhaps the largest retailer of anime, manga and related good in the United States. It is possible to search their listings by a variety of criteria. A very handy tool for titles still in print.

The nearly complete list of anime titles.
 
Anime News Network Encyclopedia - Anime :
Detailed information about many titles including staff for the Japanese and foreign versions.
A Parents Guide to Anime/
A web page set up to help parents better understand anime and chose titles for their children. Just as with print the quality of the reviews is mixed but this is still a handy resource.
Be aware that the "Intended for Mature Audiences" section of the reviews is not limited to sexual or violent content. This section includes anime that may be difficult for children to understand, such as the animated version of the nineteenth century samurai novel the Hakkenden.
Anime Companion Supplement
A supplement to my book The Anime Companion, the purpose of the supplement is to keep the material contained in the book up to date by adding new material, links to related Internet resources and additions to material covered in the book. Who acted in what, an excellent database, if your favorite actor is not here email the site owner as he has a reputation for adding entries on request.

Focusing on the works of Studio Ghibli and its directors this is one of the most impressive series of web page I have ever seen. Several anime related projects are hosted here including the Japanese Animation Press Kit Project (http://www.nausicaa.net/press kit/) which was started to aid reporters obtain accurate information about anime.
