Official USA Anime, Japanese Cinema & Manga Release Date Information Sources

When I was still putting together the monthly USA Anime and Manga Report I relied on press releases and company web pages for official information. But locating where on a web page such information is located is not an easy task, you often go to the companies site and then have to search a variety of places to find where they have buried their information, often in more than one place. For this reason created this page, and not just for your use I need something like this myself.

However there are times when your best bet is to check the company's own pages. Unfortunately some companies redesign their sites all too often so I usually link directly to their main page.

Be aware that commercial web pages are often restructured, if a link does not point to where I say it does please email me and I will track down the new location.

Secondary Sources - Anime - Erotic Anime - Japanese Cinema - Manga - Books

Secondary Sources:
For quick and general information these sources are very useful.

Anime News Network:
An excellent pleca to keep up to date on what is happening in the anime and manga industry in the US and abroad.

Anime on DVD.com
An good place to keep up on DVD news. Includes reviews and lists of forthcoming titles.

Diamond Shipping Lists
Here is where to check to see if your comic shop will get an item this week or next. They update the lists on Mondays so I check on Tuesdays. Diamond is usually a few weeks behind for videos and imported items. Note that sometimes one half of the US gets an item a week later as Diamond has more than one warehouse.

The Right Stuf
A major retailer of anime and manga, their online catalog can be searched by various categories.
The easiest way to search for a large list of forthcoming titles is to simply do a "Product Availability" search for "Preorder - Not Yet Shipping".
Note: This will get you a list of everything not just anime and manga, you can limit by company for a narrower result.

Anime:

NOTE: I also do not link to large companies which happen to handle a few anime titles unless they have a dedicated subsction for those titles.
